Venice Fishing Techinques
Techniques we use range from live baiting, trolling, chumming, chunking, kite fishing, vertical jigging, deep dropping, and fly fishing. Everything from a 130 lb. line to light line, we can accommodate your fishing request. We also customize your fishing day around what you want to fish for.
Location is what makes Venice Louisiana so special. The Mississippi River which empties into the Gulf of Mexico serves not only as fuel for these great fisheries, but also as a safe passage for fisherman to get to deep productive offshore waters. Ten miles out of the mouth of the Mississippi River the bottom plummets to over 100 feet. The loop currents from the Gulf Stream push in even closer than that during certain times of the year. Blue Marlin over 100 lbs. and many Yellow Fin Tuna over 200 lbs. have been caught within 12 miles from the mouth of the Mississippi River.
